Crescent Enterprises is a proud founding partner of the Pearl Initiative, a by-business for-business non-profit organisation, developed in partnership with the United Nations Office of Partnerships, to promote a corporate culture of accountability, transparency, and good corporate governance practices for businesses within the Gulf Region. Crescent Enterprises supports the Pearl Initiative’s management team and engages with the wider community through event convenings and research activities.

Governance in Philanthropy was launched in 2017 to support corporate and institutional donors to be more impactful in their giving. Crescent Enterprises continues to support the Pearl Initiative in convening regional donors to share insights, perspectives and strategies through which philanthropic giving can be enhanced across the Gulf region. In collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Governance in Philanthropy programme launched the Circle platform, a one-stop database containing resources and tools to help regional philanthropists improve their strategic giving.
Crescent Enterprises also participated in the Pearl Initiative’s Business Pledge sessions, designed to commit senior business leaders and organisation to adhering to the principles of ethical and responsible corporate governance practices. Since its inception, the Business Pledge has received over 150 signatories from businesses across the Gulf Region.

We are dedicated to working towards the United Nations Global Compact’s vision of a sustainable and inclusive global economy in an aim to positively impact society by improving our company’s performance.
