COP28 Business & Philanthropy Climate Forum

As the Strategic Partner of the inaugural COP28 Business & Philanthropy Climate Forum, Crescent Enterprises played a strategic role in aligning with the COP28 Presidency’s vision for inclusivity. This forum brought together over 1,300 key stakeholders—heads of state, CEOs, philanthropists, and NGO leaders—to advance cross-sectoral climate action. As part of the World Climate Action Summit, discussions centred on the private sector’s critical role in fostering innovation, mobilising capital, and forming action networks in partnership with governments to achieve net-zero and nature-positive goals.

In collaboration with the Africa Finance Corporation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, International Finance Corporation, and the World Economic Forum, among other organisations, we helped drive the Forum’s success. Our involvement reflects Crescent Enterprises’ commitment to fostering impactful collaborations that address climate and biodiversity challenges for a sustainable, balanced future.

Forum Highlights:
  • Initiative Commitments: Agreement to advance 20 initiatives with a US$7 billion commitment to support climate and biodiversity targets.
  • Plenary Sessions & Roundtables: 34 plenary sessions and 19 roundtable discussions on climate finance, sustainable food systems, green technology, and more—aligned with COP28 pillars of Energy Transition, Climate Finance, People & Nature, and Inclusion.
