Since 2015, we have been proactively directing more procurement from small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Based on the positive results of the pilot programme in July 2015, we set a target to award 20% of all procurement across Crescent Enterprises through SMEs.
Our main goal is to increase SME participation in our overall procurement in order to benefit from the ability of SMEs to provide more flexible solutions, better customer responsiveness and more innovative product and service offerings at competitive commercial terms.
Contracts are awarded on both commercial and technical merits, without compromising the quality of products and services procured. Our approach to procurement is in line with our sustainability roadmap and contributes to our efforts in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
